Between 3-5 months when the baby is holding his/her head up during tummy time, but before they are crawling is the perfect time for portraits. This is when the baby is smiling and giggling and the first signs of their little personality begin to show!

People often ask when is the best time for more portraits after newborn photos? I recommend between 3-4 months and then 6-9 months and 1 year. The 6-9 month session is best when the baby can sit up independently. All babies develop at their own pace, so this can happen anywhere between 5-10 months.
